Ome presents the explosion proof motors at the Oil&nonOil fair in Rome

Last October the XIV edition of Oil & nonoil-Storage & Transportation of Fuels took place in Rome – as usual in the premises of the Palazzo dei Congressi at Eur – the event that, year after year, edition after edition, has photographed the gradual growth in the distribution chain of independent operators, consolidating its role as the only national event in the distribution chain of liquid and gaseous fuels from storage to tank.

The 2019 edition recorded an excellent response from companies – over 120 brands on display, from all over the national territory, with interesting presences from foreign countries, especially the Mediterranean and the Near East – which led to an overall growth of 13 % of the exhibition space occupied compared to the 2017 edition.

In its first participation, OME Motors presented its flagship product, namely the Atex Low Voltage Motors, called OMEX: these explosion-proof cast iron motors – ATEX certified – are low-voltage three-phase asynchronous motors, equipped with squirrel-cage rotor with axial ventilation and fan completely closed.

They are, even more in detail, explosion proof motors specifically produced for installation in hazardous applications and sectors – one of many, the petrochemical – subject to the presence of gas or combustible dusts.

They are designed and built specifically to eliminate the risk of explosion – the watertight closure of all electrical parts inside the motor ensures that they never come into contact with the explosive atmosphere – and are equipped with all protections that prevent the explosion: pressurized equipment, fireproof and explosion-proof external structure, increased safety, anti-spark protection.

The ATEX certification – whose name derives from the words ATmosphères and EXplosives – refers to two European directives that regulate explosive atmospheres: the ATEX Directive 2014/34 / EU, which concerns the equipment and protection systems installed in atmospheres, and the Directive 99/92 / EC which prescribes the minimum protection requirements regarding the safety and health of workers exposed to the risks of explosive atmospheres.

The main theme – Oil & nonoil 2019 was the Future: starting from how the service stations will change, to the new business models; all this in light of the energy transition that is driving operators to transform themselves from resellers resellers -of energy to sellers – retailers – of differentiated services.

Oil & nonoil has once again confirmed the unmissable appointment for those in Italy who distribute energy for mobility: the heart of comparisons, insights, solutions, in which the most important themes for the various protagonists of the supply chain have been dealt with competently and clarity, with concrete proposals and solutions for those who want to do business.
